Cara-box!

This month I participated in an online event called Cara-Box!
It was so much fun. :)
It involves signing up on this website and committing to send another Cara-box member a package in the mail, a theme for that month's box is given, along with some other guidelines.
It was great fun and I loved it so much!

I loved getting to sneak around Kaitlin's blog to see what her life is like and what she is into,
you can check out the box I sent to her over at this site!

This is the box that I received from a very thoughtful woman named Anna K:

The box smelled heavenly when I opened it :)

 I just love Burt's Bees.
I also am looking forward to trying nail polish strips for the first time ever!
I am a huge fan of brads....how did she know??

This was the good smell culprit....I'm stoked to try this!

How cool are these little candles!!??

 Love, love, love the TEA!
She was right that I will sip and RELAX!

 Again! more Burt's....:)

A huge blessing too was these crafty items; stickers and a mini album to fill!
Anna K. was very thoughtful and wanted me to just retreat and enjoy some "me-time".  she was very thoughtful and I appreciate all her thoughts and the package!
Thank you Anna!!!!
I am blessed and excited to receive these,....I really do enjoy creating and being crafty!
Thank you Cara-Box!!
If any of you want to be involved in next month's Cara box exchange head over to this site and check out what is involved,
you don't have to be a blogger to participate!

before/after

 Before/After Silver polishing!

My dear friend Ramona taught me a trick to polishing silver without silver polish or cream!
A-MAZING!
all you need is:
a large pot
aluminum foil- good amount folded in half
baking soda- 1-2 tsp
salt- pinch
water- enough to cover silver
soft cloth

here's my silver plate before:
Instructions:
1.  Place enough water in the pot that will cover your item completely in water.
add aluminum foil, baking soda and salt and bring to a boil

2. add your silver item and set a timer for 2 minutes. make sure it's touching the aluminum foil.  Watch before your very eyes the transformation!
Seriously, the shine from the foil transfers to the silver!! It's amazing, and the foil looks really yucky and dull, almost gray/black when you are done!!

3. Take it out and carefully buff the silver piece with a clean cloth!

4. Ta-Da!!

AMAZING!!
i should have taken chemistry.....but i'm sure glad she did :)
have fun "polishing!"

dreams

i've been hunting around on other people's blogs...
like for the past 6 months
and i've acquired some "dreams" per say...

here's some of them i'd like to accomplish if there was no limit on funds or time!

~sorry no pic on here~

i'm surely dreaming when it comes to this next one....
i've never wanted to really make my own dress, but

fabric flowers

here are some of the flowers i made!!!
i am quite pleased with them!! i sewed a bobby pin to the back of this white one.....should be cute in someone's hair!!

oh, and yesterday ivory and adia decided to have a hair cutting session in their bedroom......
yikes! i had an array of feelings...but we don't need to discuss them!
here's adia's hair now.....short on one side (reminds me of a mullet!) and normal on the other!
alas....it happens to everyone at least once! :)

and i want to challenge all of you crafters out there to make one too!!
join me in making a fabric flower--!
