easy shortbread

Hey people! 

This is another post on an easy-peasy cookie/bar

recipe with only 4 ingredients...(and my husband loves them!)

super simple.

shortbread!

1 cup butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp salt

and that's it!

you can always add an ingredient at the end to make it different...

like i added 1/2 choc chips to spice it up!

or some lemon zest....

easy.

 kids love to help!

 Cream together the butter and sugar

 Add the flour and salt and mix till it looks uniform and crumbly.

pat it in an Ungreased (i love how easy that is!)

 8X8 pan

poke a fork all over it

and cook! 

325 for 25 min

More Christmas!

new christmas tradition?
cinnamon rolls for breakfast!--at least 2! :)

the girls got princess barbies for christmas!
they love them!!! they actually love anything tangible from a movie they have seen,
so they can pretend play that movie all over again!

no, we didn't get a dog.

but our friend Luke was up for christmas with us, and he brought his dog Syd.
we loved him! he was such a chill dog, did great around the kids,....they loved him!
such a good dog to be around!


here's christmas dinner!
Ryan roasted a Goose! it was good, along with the british roasted potatoes "roasties"!

Ryan's christmas present!

yep! i made it! it is a quilt from all my old "fat"pants that i no longer wear!
there are some of his jeans in there too! i really wanted to make a quilt for the family to have,
and i'm really proud of how this turned out! i love it!! (so does he!)

so i basically just took pants and cut them up ...only did necessary trimming, but left

the pants as is, sewed them together!
i didn't know what i wanted for the back...maybe a flannel sheet or something..
so i ended up at the thrift store...found this polyester blanket for $1.50...it is soft!
so perfect, so i sewed it on! done! :)
it was alot easier than i thought!!

KISS/HUG SANDWHICH

here is a yummy food gift the kids can make!!
pretzels and kisses and hugs
placed in the oven then you put pretzels on top--kiss sandwhich!
EASY!!
and delicious, watch out....very addictive!

This morning we did a family portrait shoot....went pretty well i say!! the kids loved it, especially when we gave them all cookies at the end. aren't they cute?

merry christmas!! today we are frosting our cut-out cookies. the other day we were cutting out big snowflakes that are now hanging from the ceiling! we are getting festive around here!! my wonderful hubby just made me an awesome peppermint cappucino! he's the best!!
i feel so much better--last night i got hit with a huge migraine....i haven't had one of those in such a looooooong time!! it was horrible....i get those visual squiggly lines in my vision before they hit....i actually had three of them....then threw up several times....sorry for the details...but it was BAD!

so i hope you all are doing soooo much better than i was!! i am very thankful this day for my health and for those around me.....blessings to you all!!
