Trader Joe's

so, me and some girlfriends went to TJ's tonight, it was my first time ever going! and i must say, i loved it! it's got that granola-healthy feel to it..(which i love!)..and it's good for you as well as cheap! that's the way to go. so we talked alot about healthy lifestyles, and how we were raised. It's very interesting, but i must say it's worth it to spend the couple extra bucks for what goes into your body than the thousands to recover from a heart attack or cancer. we are definitely needing a shift in our mentality, eating healthy is our health insurance!

"Not Easily Broken"

i highly recommend this movie based off of T.D. Jakes book. it was excellent! very well done for a "christian movie"--if you know what i mean. great cinematography, and GREAT message! it's all about a couple and their marriage. such a good one to go and see with your hubby/wife! ryan and i went and saw it and had good discussion afterwards. it was so good!! i highly recommend any married couple to go see it and discuss!! we all need to have a marital boost! www.sonypictures.com/movies/noteasilybroken/site/
let me know what you think!

Well of Hope

i am so blessed by my little coffee-shop church! i love going there, and so do my children!
it's been really cool to see who the Lord brings there and the different relationships evolve....one lady whom i've been praying for gave me a good report of their family going through some necessary healthy changes--God is so good! i love hearing prayers answered!!

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Hebrews 4:11-13

Ihis reality is hitting me once again in a new light. In talking with my friend the other day, i was challenged to expose my children to the Word of God daily. Bring them life and exposing them to the Light of the Word will divide soul and spirit, and also possibly guarantee their salvation. wow! i am convicted and desire to do this more on a regular basis- God Help me!

Thank God it's Friday!!

so--here's 5 reasons i'm thankful today--

1. my hubby gave me the morning off---woohoo!
2. i got to do whatever the heck i wanted--yay!! so i went to starbucks--enjoyed a london fog tea and a blueberry coffee cake...then went to several stores, in and out with ease! (no children)
3. i love that Ember, Ivory and Adia love this book "Out came the sun"-by Heather Collins- it's a random book i got from the library--all nursery rhymes connected into one story through pictures...really cute!
4. i love baking--got to bake some valentine's day cookies for tomorrow!
5. i am thankful that my husband isn't super duper busy on fridays!

blessings to you all--have a wonderful Valentine's day!

So, i am officially starting this blog as my own....susanna, mother of 4 children.
i am lacking a specific vision for this, so right now it will be me reflecting on life, motherhood, and whatever else i happen to be thinking of and willing to share!

so i read a recent article that shared the information that all children have a fear of new food, whether that fear lasts long or not varies from child to child. The article also suggested that you expose new food to your children at least 10 times before you rule it out as a "dislike"--supposedly by the 10th time your child won't be afraid to try it! --i thought that was pretty interesting!--hopefully helpful! :)
