my baby boy is growing and excelling so fast! he is enthralled with books lately, and just today he is repeating after you--"uh-oh!" "ball!"
such a cutie!! these days are numbered and so precious!

i finally feel like i have "arrived"--happy where i am, one day at a time. yes, the neighbors are moving, but for now they are still here! the last couple of days i introduced "the sound of music" to the girls....oh they love it!! saying 'frauline Maria' is another story! today we had quite a discussion of how to say it correctly...the closest i got ember to say was "frauline ramia"! ha!!
i love all of those songs, and my heart comes alive at the music and inspiration that maria is as a governess...i want my children to be in awe of me....that we would sing and dance our way through life....ah..alas...such is life...

been meditating on the verse in Ephesians-- "we are His workmanship"
it's been interesting and extremely freeing;
I am His.
He created me to be me!
He loves me for who i am!!
i am His will.
His desire is for me!

Family Vacation

Our family had our first family vacation all to ourselves! it was an awesome set-up from
the Lord. my good friend Lora told us about this awesome cottage in
Moravian Falls that she takes her family to on their vacations, and it looked great!
So, we got to go! all by ourselves, and ryan got his dream hobbit vacation--doing nothing!!
it rained pretty much the whole time, very overcast. we literally did nothing, except run to the Dollar store to buy the girls some special princess dolls--oh man, did they love it!
All we did was watch "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers"-(my fav. musical ever! now my girls fav too!), eat, read books and sleep! very relaxing...they kids loved the cabin that we stayed in as well.
it was perfect! when i did get restless to see people, i pulled out a puzzle and did that....
nothing like a good puzzle! :)

swirly-whirl

yes, that's what my life feels like (emotionally) right now. we are in another swirl of events....putting the house up for sale--only to see if it will sell, = to see if the Lord wants us to be elsewhere. we have come to love this place! i love my house!! will i ever get another one like it? i really want to hear the Lord on everything, and understand His ways....alas, they are not my ways.
i feel this push to leave.
i feel shoved and pushed, really. (mainly by the Lord, all the events that have occurred i cannot control!)
i guess i'm a long-haul type of person, slow adjusting to change...takes me a long time (2 weeks or more) to even adjust to my husband getting new shoes! wow.....that's just the way i am.
so yeah, i'm prone to jealousy when others around me are loving change, loving the idea of leaving, so at peace... and full of joy in believing.
Lord give me joy and peace in believing!! help me to believe you have a great future and a purpose for my life, somewhere!!! the placement of our future seems so unknown.
i don't really want to move. but yet i know i won't want to stay when all my friends around me are gone. i will feel that for certain when they are gone. i cannot fathom that yet. still in denial.

one line from the Lord of the Rings--Return of the King that keeps going through my mind--

"What say you? What say you? What say You?"

That is my cry to the Lord right now.

*thanks for listening to my inner-processing, most likely to change in 2-3 days. :)
